I know I’m not supposed to comment, but this entire family disgusts me.
““I’ve read, I think, everything Romney’s had to say on this subject, and the level of flip-flopping and dissembling is truly mind-boggling,” Steve Rattner, the “auto czar” who advised the White House on the auto rescue, told TPM. “He’s been on every side of the auto rescue at different times and said different things, so it’s hard to know what he honestly thinks.” “
” “Pro-family” legislators have promoted the child tax credit for years as a way to encourage traditional marriage. But defense contractors need their blow-shit-up money, so that’s done, surely with some rejoinder that poor people are having babies for the tax credit (because babies cost no money to raise these days).”
“All told, Romney lists 37 holdovers from the George W. Bush administration — the very same administration he and all other Republican candidates barely referenced during their many debates because it was so discredited and toxic, even to the Republican base.”
“…But there is an educational component to the presidency, too, and part of that component is to remind the people that extended tantrums are not self-government, that electing the unqualified and the half-bright simply because they say the things that you also hear on your radio for 12 hours a day is not a recipe for moving the country forward. The partnership in government didn’t “break down.” The Republicans broke it and then walked away from the splinters. Period. There was nowhere near enough of that kind of talk over the past three years.”
